Our Story
Southcoates Car Sales is an independent, family owned and run used car dealer in Hull. We started life as a service and MOT centre in the east of the city, looking after cars here for over 20 years, and moved into retailing cars just over five years ago.
The workshop came first, and it is still on site. Every car we sell is inspected and prepared by our own technicians, and anything that needs doing afterwards is done by the same team. Our aim is to provide affordable, reliable vehicles with honest service and fair pricing, whether that is a first car, a family vehicle or an affordable daily driver.
What We Do
At any one time, we carry around 16 quality used cars in stock, ranging from £7,200 to £19,995 — so whether you are buying your first car or need a dependable family vehicle, there is something at Southcoates to suit.

- Minimum 3 months warranty, with 6 and 12-month options
- HPI checks and a multi-point inspection
- Finance available from 10.4% APR
Our service does not stop when you drive away because we have an MOT and service centre for any parts or servicing requirements you might need. We also offer three years of free servicing and three years of free MOT tests, subject to servicing and MOT being carried out at East Hull MOT and Repair Centre Limited.
